Design Support Specialist

Job Overview

TheHomeMag is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Design Support Specialist to support the creative and production needs of our Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, and Dallas–Fort Worth markets.

This role serves as an important link between local market teams and the design department, helping ensure advertising materials are accurate, on-brand, visually strong, and completed on schedule. The ideal candidate combines solid graphic design skills with strong production discipline, communication, and the ability to manage a high volume of projects across multiple markets and deadlines.

This is a hands-on support role well suited for someone who enjoys both designing and making the design process run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Support

● Support the creation, revision, and production of print and digital advertising materials for TheHomeMag and its clients.

● Build and modify advertisements using established brand standards, templates, and client-provided assets.

● Assist designers and market teams with resizing, formatting, image preparation, layout adjustments, and other production needs.

● Maintain consistency and quality across advertisements and other creative materials.

● Help ensure designs are visually effective while meeting TheHomeMag's production specifications and standards.

Multi-Market Support

● Provide day-to-day design support for the Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, and Dallas–Fort Worth markets.

● Balance creative requests and production deadlines across multiple markets simultaneously.

● Communicate with Senior Designers regarding project status, missing assets, revisions, and deadlines.

● Serve as a dependable creative resource for sales and market leadership.

Workflow & Coordination

● Will report to Regional Publisher and Senior Designers to collaborate incoming design requests to help keep projects moving through the creative process.

● Communicate clearly when additional direction, content, or approvals are needed.

● Work collaboratively with designers, sales representatives, market leadership, and production teams.

● Help improve templates, file organization, processes, and workflows that increase the efficiency of the design department.

● Provide additional creative and production support during high-volume periods and publication deadlines.

Qualifications

● Experience in graphic design, advertising production, creative services, or a related field.

● Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

● Strong understanding of layout, typography, image quality, and basic design principles.

● Experience preparing artwork for print production strongly preferred.

● Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.

● Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

● Comfortable managing multiple projects, markets, and deadlines simultaneously.

● Ability to receive creative direction and execute revisions accurately.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

● Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a distributed creative and market team.

Pay: $48,000.00 per year
