What they need
Broadway Malyan is a global architecture, urbanism and design practice dedicated to creating cities, buildings and places that will provide a lasting legacy. Through a shared design ethos, we work together to create places with a strong sense of identity where people and communities want to live, learn, shop, work and relax.
As an employee-owned practice, we are able to create an inclusive culture where everyone has a strong sense of engagement and shared responsibility in the future of our business. We are committed to investing and inspiring our people, so we can attract and retain the best talent to strengthen our reputation as both a design practice and an employer of choice.
Broadway Malyan is currently seeking to recruit a Design System Analyst ., based out of our Mumbai Studio. As an Design Systems Analyst, you'll sit at the point where our project teams and our core digital design software meet — helping diagnose why a workflow or model is underperforming, supporting studios in using our design technology effectively, and building toward advanced computational design, BIM and design automation skills as you grow. You'll work closely with IT (who handle hardware/infrastructure issues) while owning the functional side: how our tools are actually being used on live projects, and why they sometimes aren't working as effectively as intended.
Key activities:
- Diagnose and triaging issue requiring technical support or if is functional related relative to our core design software, (eg: slow performing revit or rhino models).
- Debugging low complexity low code/no code scripts within grasshopper and/or dynamo, whilst escalating where best practices, or training gaps could address issues.
- Support project teams across our studios with knowledge based articles, preliminary model health checks, and best-practice model authoring.
- Build and maintain general standard operating procedures, and training materials for our Standard Design Professional Tools as needed.
- Get hands-on exposure to BIM, computational design, design automation and AI-for-design tools, with a defined path toward those specialisms as you develop.
- Work closely with our IT team on hands on technical vs. functional issues.
What you'll bring to the team:
- 1+ years' experience using design software in a professional architecture, engineering, design or BIM design production environment (placements/internships can be included).
- Working knowledge of at least two of these softwares: AutoCAD, Revit, Dynamo, Rhino (Grasshopper), and SketchUp.
- An analytical, curious mindset — genuine interest in why a BIM model or design workflow fails to work effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication — as you will be documenting technical issues to non-technical project staff regularly.
- Desirable: a degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technologist, BIM Management, or a related discipline (not a prerequisite — relevant hands-on experience will be considered equally).
- Desirable: exposure to Esri ArcGIS, D5 Render or Enscape, or basic scripting (Python, C#).
Working conditions:
- Based on-site at our Mumbai studio.
- This role operates a Monday–Friday rotational shift pattern to align with studio working hours across our global time zones (covering early-morning through to late-evening shifts). Exact shift schedule and rotation cadence to be confirmed with IT/HR.
- Weekends off (Saturday and Sunday), plus standard Indian public/bank holidays.
- Shift allowances apply for early or late shift bands, per standard company policy.
If you are a dynamic professional, willing to develop and excel in a technical environment and ready to take new challenges, we are looking forward to receiving your application.
