DESIGN TRAINER

We are looking for passionate and industry-driven Design Trainers to deliver engaging, hands-on learning in graphic design, Canva, Generative AI for design and digital art.

We are seeking trainers who are not only technically skilled, but are also active designers or artists with real-world experience and a strong portfolio to showcase. You'll help learners of all levels, from complete beginners to working professionals, create polished visuals with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom-based and practical design training sessions for adult learners, working professionals and corporate teams
• Teach Canva for social media, marketing materials, presentations and brand assets
• Guide learners in using Generative AI tools to ideate, generate and refine design work
• Facilitate digital art and illustration sessions, from fundamentals to finished pieces
• Teach core design principles such as layout, typography, colour and visual hierarchy
• Run live demonstrations, guided exercises and project-based activities
• Support learners in assessments, portfolio development and project work
• Ensure training delivery aligns with curriculum requirements, learning outcomes and organisational standards
• Maintain a positive, engaging and professional classroom environment
• Work closely with the training, operations and academic teams to support programme delivery
• Stay updated with design trends, creative tools and emerging AI design technologies

Preferred Areas Of Expertise Applicants may specialise in one or more of the following areas:

• Canva & Canva AI (Magic Studio)
• Generative AI for Design (Midjourney, ChatGPT image generation, Ideogram, etc.)
• Graphic Design Fundamentals
• Digital Art & Illustration (Procreate, Adobe Fresco, etc.)
• Branding & Visual Identity
• Social Media & Marketing Design
• Typography & Layout Design
• Presentation Design
• AI-Assisted Creative Workflows

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in graphic design, digital art, illustration, branding, marketing design or related creative fields
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Canva and at least one other area: Generative AI design tools, digital art, or Adobe Creative Suite
• Applicants should possess an active portfolio showcasing past design projects, campaigns, illustrations, digital artworks or AI-assisted creative work
• Portfolio should demonstrate creative direction, design fundamentals, technical competency and understanding of current design trends
• Able to translate design knowledge into practical and engaging learning experiences for beginners and professionals alike
• Strong classroom management and facilitation skills
• Able to manage learners professionally and maintain a conducive learning environment
• A positive team player who is able to work collaboratively with trainers, operations and internal teams
• Prior training, facilitation, mentoring or coaching experience is preferred
• ACLP/ACTA certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Passionate about creative education, learner development and emerging design technologies
