Location: New York (full time on-site, Monday through Friday, plus two Saturdays per month)

Position Overview

They are looking for a talented, detail-oriented, and motivated Designer to join their team in New York.

The Designer will report directly to the Showroom Manager and will work closely with the existing team, which includes Project Managers and other Designers, to support the development and execution of design projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical design skills, a solid understanding of interior design and space planning, and the ability to collaborate effectively with different team members. The candidate should be organized and passionate about design, with a commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Drafting: Develop detailed technical drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
• Space Planning & Design Development: Assist in the development of interior design concepts, layouts, and customized solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across different departments, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented team environment.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with design trends, materials, technologies, and industry developments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Previous experience in interior design, architectural drafting, or technical design.
• Excellent technical drawing and space-planning skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of additional design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional attitude, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Interest in high-end residential interiors, contemporary design, luxury furniture, and bespoke solutions.

Compensation

• ABS: 70-80k + annual bonus based on individual performance
• Health Package: Medical, dental, and vision coverage is available, with employer contributions varying depending on the plan selected
• 401(k) with up to 5% company match
• PTO : 15 days during the first year of employment, increasing to 20 days annually after 12 months of service: up to 10 unused vacation days may be carried over to the following year.
