We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Fashion & Apparel Designer to join our design team and help shape our upcoming collections.

Job Overview

As a Designer at Graye Studio, you will participate in the end-to-end product creation process—from initial mood boards, concept ideation, and fabric sourcing to technical sketching, prototyping, and fitting. You will work closely with the Creative Director and production partners to bring sustainable, high-quality, and functional designs to life.

Key Responsibilities

Concept & Collection Development: Research fashion trends, sustainable textile innovations, and functional details to develop cohesive collection concepts, color palettes, and mood boards.

Apparel & Tech Pack Design: Create detailed technical flat sketches, measurement specs, and comprehensive tech packs using Adobe Illustrator for manufacturing partners.

Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Source eco-friendly, sustainable textiles, hardware, and trims that align with brand aesthetics and durability standards.

Prototyping & Sample Fitting: Oversee sample development, conduct fit sessions, and communicate technical revisions clearly with patternmakers and garment factories.

Visual & Content Support: Assist in styling, campaign concepts, and visual merchandising assets for collection launches and marketing channels.

Quality & Cost Management: Ensure product designs align with target cost margins, production feasibility, and quality control guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Development, or a related creative discipline.

2+ years of hands-on experience in fashion design and technical garment construction (experience with unisex, menswear, or sustainable fashion is a plus).

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and tech pack generation.

Strong understanding of garment specs, pattern-making fundamentals, fabric properties, and apparel construction.

Passion for sustainable fashion, circular design practices, and minimalist aesthetics.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple collection timelines simultaneously.

A portfolio showcasing technical sketches, mood boards, and finished garment projects (mandatory).
