Role Description

We are building a marketing team of the future: one that scales with AI and aims to be forward deployed, working close to the people it serves. We need a founding designer to own how we look, sound and move across websites, social, motion and video, and campaigns.

This is for a doer who is also a strategist. You will make the work, decide what it should be, and shape this function as it grows, reporting to the Head of Marketing. We want someone sharp, proactive and ambitious, with the polish of an agency background, who wants a real runway to grow.

You will own design and creative direction across both brands, end to end.

• Website design. The most important part of the role. Take both sites from concept to final pixel, working closely with developers.
• Social. Create LinkedIn and X content that is unmistakably ours, with other platforms to follow as we grow.
• Motion and video. Hero loops, short brand films, customer story videos and social cuts. You edit and animate them yourself. You do not need to be a specialist filmmaker, and experience with AI video tools is a big plus.
• Campaigns. Concept and design campaigns from the idea through to every asset.
• Own the function. Set the look, tone and standards for each brand, and build the templates and workflows the wider team can reuse.
• Use AI in your design work. Experience here is a big plus. We want better work, made faster.

Forward deployed means working inside the customer's world rather than from a distance. It is how our engineers work, and we want to try it in design: sit close to the people doing the job, then build from what you learn.

AI is central to how we work too. If you already use it to design, edit and animate, tell us how. We want someone who treats it as part of the craft.

This is a founding role in a fast-growing startup filled with opportunity. You will build something from nothing and chart your own path as the business grows.

Qualifications

• A portfolio showing website, social and motion work, and the thinking behind it.
• Strategic taste: you have a point of view and can explain the idea behind the work.
• Fluency with AI in your creative process, and opinions on where it helps and where it does not.
• Familiarity with the major design and video tools, usually Figma. We are tool-agnostic.
• The habits of a self-starter. You run with a rough brief, ship a first version and build something from nothing.
• Comfort working remotely with a team across time zones
