Designer Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented Designer Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team at our facility in Tuy Batangas. This is a full-time position that sits at the intersection of design and electrical engineering, where you will play a crucial role in developing and refining electrical designs and technical drawings for our energy technology projects. As a Designer Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for translating conceptual ideas and specifications into detailed, accurate electrical designs that guide our manufacturing and installation processes. This role is essential to ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety, functionality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Create comprehensive electrical design drawings and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software, ensuring all technical specifications are accurately represented
• Develop detailed engineering drawings for electrical systems, components and assemblies that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and translate them into precise technical documentation
• Review and revise electrical designs based on feedback, testing results and changing project requirements
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards and company specifications
• Prepare bills of materials and component lists to support manufacturing and procurement processes
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to optimise electrical system performance
• Maintain accurate and organised documentation of all design work and maintain version control of drawings
• Support the engineering team by conducting research on new technologies, materials and design methodologies
• Communicate technical information clearly to colleagues across different departments, including manufacturing and quality assurance

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Drafting or a related discipline
• Proficiency in CAD software, with strong experience in electrical design tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar platforms
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, circuit design principles and electrical safety standards
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and industry standards such as IEC or local electrical regulations
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work methodically through complex design challenges
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working collaboratively in engineering environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Experience in renewable energy, power systems or related fields is highly desirable
• Experience with 3D modelling software and simulation tools is a valued addition
