DESIGNER ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities

Prepare mechanical design drawings, fabrication drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings and detailed engineering drawings.

Develop and revise 2D drawings using AutoCAD based on project specifications and engineering requirements.

Read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and client requirements.

Prepare material lists, bills of materials (BOM) and other relevant technical documentation.

Coordinate with engineering, project, fabrication, procurement and site teams to ensure design accuracy and smooth project execution.

Review and update drawings according to design changes, client comments and fabrication requirements.

Assist in resolving technical issues arising during fabrication and installation.

Support the preparation of design documents and drawings required for DOSH/JKKP submissions, where applicable.

Ensure drawings and documentation comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, safety requirements and company procedures.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design or a related discipline.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, fabrication or engineering, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.

Proficient in AutoCAD and able to produce accurate engineering and fabrication drawings.

Experience in mechanical equipment, pressure vessels, boilers or steel fabrication will be an advantage.

Familiarity with applicable engineering codes,ASME / API standards and DOSH/JKKP requirements is an advantage.

Experience preparing technical documentation for regulatory submissions is an added advantage.

Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.

Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet project deadlines.
