Desktop Applications Developer

Company Description Public-i Group Ltd, established in 2000, is a leading provider of live-streaming, hybrid meeting, and audio-visual services to the public sector. Its Connect platform delivers live-streaming with integrated transcription and subtitling, supporting accessible and transparent decision making. The HybridLink platform enables fully functional hybrid meetings for local government, connecting remote and in-room participants with robust voting and speaker management. Public-i also offers end-to-end audio-visual solutions for chambers and committee rooms, using the latest meeting technology.

Key tasks include :

·       Taking on tasks around maintaining our codebase and developing new features.

·       Being a proactive member of our scrum team, taking part in planning sessions, daily stand-ups and bi-weekly presentations to the wider company

·       [Code] Peer review

·       Working closely with our Product Manager to produce great experiences, across platforms.

Skills

The role requires a range of skills, some of which are set out below:-

·       

(Windows) Desktop development : C# / DotNet

·       

XAML

·       Windows Forms (WPF)

·       AV Hardware API integration

Other desirable skills for this post also include:

·        Wix (installer) including Obfuscation

·        Caliburn / MVVM pattern

·       Java

·       

JavaScript (including react)

·       Testing tools (xUnit / dotnet Test / Selenium)

·       Git / nuget / npm

The post holder should have a working knowledge of best practice usability and Agile scrum/sprint and be able to document code and provide system documentation.
