Desktop Deployment Technician (Project Based)

Join Our IT Deployment Team

We are seeking dependable Desktop Deployment Technicians to assist with computer and thin-client installation projects at customer locations throughout the Columbus area.

This position focuses primarily on large-scale workstation deployments, equipment replacements, hardware installations, asset tagging, and basic end-user setup activities.

Projects are scheduled throughout the year and often involve teams working full-time hours during active deployments. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on IT experience without needing advanced networking or engineering skills.

This is a W2 employee position.

What You'll Do

• Install and replace desktop computers and thin clients
• Unbox, stage, and prepare equipment for deployment
• Connect monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, and peripherals
• Label and inventory equipment
• Disconnect and remove retired hardware
• Follow deployment instructions provided by project leads
• Verify equipment powers on and functions properly
• Document completed work and report issues
• Represent the company professionally while on-site

Important Information About Hours

Work is scheduled based on customer deployments and project demand.

During active projects, technicians frequently work 30-40+ hours per week and may work several consecutive weeks of full-time schedules.

Between projects, work volume may decrease and hours may vary.
