Desktop operation and maintenance engineer

On-site full-time desktop operation and maintenance engineer, serving the Hanoi office area

Project Objective: To build the front-line IT desktop operation and support capability for the Hanoi office area, ensure the stable operation of daily office equipment, conference systems, networks, data center and weak current systems, printers, asset management and other work; to provide Localization language support and connect with the IT Service Help Desk.

Job Responsibilities:

• Onboarding/offboarding support, system installation and configuration, asset management, conference room management, printer management, network operation and maintenance, data center and weak current system, on-site IT Help Desk, regional Farizon support, etc
• Onboarding: Prepare office equipment in advance, and complete equipment distribution, account activation and basic IT training on the onboarding day; Offboarding: Equipment recycling, data clearing, public shell system operation, asset verification and return confirmation
• Equipment distribution, collection, allocation, maintenance, inventory check and local Warehouse Management
• Daily inspection, troubleshooting, and on-site support for major conferences of meeting room equipment (displays, conference panels, video conference terminals and other devices)
• Troubleshooting of connection issues for office network, guest network and vehicle-mounted network; handling of network faults at the access layer and desktop end; cabling of office network and equipment configuration management
• Daily inspection and troubleshooting of data center equipment (access control monitoring, servers, switches, UPS, precision air conditioners, etc.); weak current wiring, jumper arrangement, and patch panel label maintenance.
• When employees encounter issues while using internal business systems such as BPM, HuiLianYi, and SRM, guide them to escalate the problem to the IT Help Desk or the system administrator.
• On-site reception staff shall answer questions and handle malfunctions in person, and keep the service workstation tidy.
• User consultation, preliminary fault diagnosis, Farizon troubleshooting, IT support for onboarding and offboarding, ticket processing and tracking, IT training and guidance, IT project assistance

Education and Experience:

College degree or above, majoring in computer-related fields, with at least 3 years of working experience in IT desktop operation and maintenance

Hardware Capabilities:

Familiar with the working principles and internal structures of hardware such as computers, printers, conference room display devices, and network equipment, and capable of independently completing fault detection, component replacement, and equipment repair consignment.

System Capabilities:

Proficient in the installation, maintenance and common troubleshooting of Windows / macOS / Linux operating systems

Software Capability:

Proficient in the installation and troubleshooting of common office software such as Microsoft Office

Network capabilities:

Familiar with basic network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc. , and capable of completing daily operation and maintenance, troubleshooting, wiring and configuration management of access layer and desktop networks

language proficiency:

Vietnamese: Native or working proficiency (capable of independently communicating with local staff and handling on-site tickets); English: Working language, with required proficiency in business English for both oral and written communication; Chinese: Candidates with Chinese communication skills are preferred, as communication with the headquarters IT team is required
