The Team

Our Digital team at MinterEllison delivers technology solutions that keep the firm running at its best. The IT Services team in Sydney is a tight-knit group focused on providing seamless, high-quality technology support to our people and clients. We pride ourselves on a collaborative culture, a commitment to continuous improvement, and ensuring every user experience is exceptional - from the boardroom to the desktop.

Your Role

We are seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT Services team in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technology professional who enjoys solving problems and supporting people.

Working as part of a rotating shift roster (currently 7:30am-6:00pm weekdays), you will provide proactive second-level desktop support and play a key role in ensuring our technology environments run smoothly. You will also participate in a national on-call roster for after-hours support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing frontline technical support face-to-face, over the phone, and via ServiceNow - managing incidents and requests from start to finish
  • Taking ownership of support tickets and delivering timely resolutions in line with service levels
  • Managing end-user technology assets including device allocation, tracking, and lifecycle management
  • Delivering Audio Visual (AV) support - setting up and testing equipment for meetings and events, with a focus on client floor requirements
  • Providing real-time support during client meetings and events to ensure a seamless experience
  • Collaborating with infrastructure and broader IT teams on AV solutions and service improvements

More About You

We are looking for a customer-focused IT professional who brings:

  • Experience supporting a Windows desktop environment (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, remote access, and peripherals)
  • Knowledge of VoIP, mobile, and internet technologies
  • Familiarity with network and server systems, including switches, routers, and patch panels
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and Change Management processes
  • Strong communication skills - you can explain technical concepts in plain language
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with sound problem-solving ability
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • A genuine desire to help people and deliver excellent service
