Desktop Support Engineer

Work Mode: Work from Office (5 Days a Week)

Role & responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop, laptop, and end-user IT support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, application, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Windows systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Support LAN/WAN connectivity, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support to employees.
• Perform system updates, preventive maintenance, and basic security checks.
• Assist with IT assets, equipment, and software procurement.
• Support basic network, router, firewall, and cloud-related requirements.
• Coordinate with internal engineering/IT teams for infrastructure and application-related issues.
• Maintain IT documentation and follow security and infrastructure best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3 years of experience in Desktop Support, IT Help Desk, Technical Support, or a similar role.
• Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS, MS Office, hardware, and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, networking, routers, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of remote support/diagnostic tools and desktop security practices.
• Good understanding of computers, mobile devices, and IT peripherals.
• Basic awareness of cloud environments and IT infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer-service skills.
