Desktop Support Technician

This on-site Level 2 Desktop Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support for users in a Lenexa facility. The role requires someone who can independently troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, and Intune issues, work directly with users at their desks, manage support tickets through resolution, and take ownership of smaller IT initiatives such as device refreshes. The environment also includes production-connected workstations and OT technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support for Windows devices, Microsoft 365, email, printers, peripherals, and other end-user technology.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests through the ITSM process, including account access, software deployment, workstation configuration, and user support.
• Take ownership of smaller IT projects such as device refreshes, coordinating the work and moving it forward with limited day-to-day direction.
• Maintain accurate support documentation, ticket resolution details, knowledge-base information, and IT asset records.
• Support onsite technology used within the production environment, including dedicated workstations and connected OT systems, while coordinating with production, maintenance, quality, vendors, and other IT teams as needed.

Required Experience

• Hands-on Level 2 desktop support experience covering tickets, phone support, and direct deskside support.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong Windows desktop troubleshooting and workstation configuration experience.
• Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions, take initiative, and move issues forward without requiring constant direction.
• Experience owning or driving a smaller IT project, such as a device refresh or workstation deployment.
• Experience documenting technical work and communicating directly with end users throughout the issue-resolution process.
