Despatch & Logistics Team Leader

We’re looking for an experienced Despatch & Logistics Team Leader for our Manufacturing Client in Kawerau. We're on the lookout for someone who knows how to keep an operation running smoothly, bring people along with them and make sure customers get what they need, when they need it.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your ability to organise, communicate, problem-solve and get the best from your team will make a real difference. You’ll take ownership of the daily despatch operation while working closely with the wider business to continually improve the way things are done.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the day-to-day despatch operation, ensuring orders are delivered on time and to the expected quality, cost and safety standards.

• Coaching, supporting and developing your team to achieve KPIs and deliver consistently high performance.

• Coordinating stock movement and maintaining strong inventory control, including stock rotation and stocktakes.

• Ensuring the end-to-end despatch process runs efficiently and continues to meet customer expectations.

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working across the operation.

• Building strong working relationships with internal teams, customers and external transport/service providers.

• Monitoring performance and providing accurate reporting and information to support operational decision-making.

• Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring safe working practices are embedded across the team.
