Despatch Officer

About the role

The initial weeks of your employment will provide hands-on training across our packing and warehouse processes, giving you a strong understanding of our products, systems and procedures. You will then transition into a dedicated Despatch role, responsible for accurately QA checking, loading and unloading of packed goods.

Key responsibilities

• Pack and prepare customer orders
• Check orders and documentation for accuracy
• Utilise software to book customer orders for collection and delivery
• Contact customers via phone/email
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Maintain accurate despatch records/invoicing
• Follow strict safety and warehouse procedures

About you

• Reliable, organised and safety-focused
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and computer skills
• Physically capable of handling steel products
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Warehouse, despatch or logistics experience preferred but not essential
• Current driver's and forklift licences highly regarded
