Despatch Operative Team A

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join our team at our Dungannon site. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a supportive team.

The Despatch Operative is responsible for the handling, storage and despatch of all frozen and chilled food products, ensuring that hygiene, quality and health and safety standards are maintained. A key element of this role is to work as part of a team to ensure that despatch KPI’s are meet

Working hours:

Team A

Week 1 Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday – 6:00 am – pm

Week 2 – Wednesday/Thursday – 6:00 am – 6:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

• The handling and storage of all frozen and chilled food products
• The despatch of all frozen and chilled food products
• Record keeping and completion of other relevant paperwork
• Recording of temperatures within the despatch area
• Correct labelling of pallets
• Poly-wrapping of product
• Blast-chilling of product
• General housekeeping of work area
• Any other duties that are required

Skills & Experience Required

• Must be able to speak, read and write English

• Must be numerate

• Must be observant and pay attention to detail

• Must be able to read English to acceptable standard to ensure paperwork is understood

• Experience understanding and ability to complete paperwork

• Must be able to think clearly and pay attention to detail

• A positive attitude to work and others is essential

• Team working is essential

• Good communication skills are desirable

• Good interpersonal skills are desirable

• The ability to record data neatly and accurately is desirable

• An understanding of temperature control is desirable

• Experience within a food factory is desirable

• Previous experience in despatch is desirable

• A Counterbalance fork lift and/or Electric Pallet truck licence is desirable
