About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Detachment Commander to lead and manage our security operations in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. This is a full-time position based on-site at our operations centre in the region. As Detachment Commander, you will hold a position of strategic importance within Southern Arms Corporation, overseeing all aspects of security operations for your assigned detachment. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of security service delivery, staff management, and client satisfaction whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and manage all security personnel assigned to the detachment, ensuring they maintain the highest professional and ethical standards
• Plan, organise, and oversee daily security operations and patrol schedules to ensure optimal coverage and responsiveness
• Conduct regular training and development programmes for security staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and operational effectiveness
• Maintain discipline and enforce company policies and security protocols across all team members
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of security personnel through regular assessments and performance reviews
• Prepare and submit detailed operational reports, incident reports, and performance metrics to senior management
• Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and complaints with swift and appropriate action
• Liaise with clients to understand their security requirements and ensure service expectations are consistently met
• Conduct security risk assessments and recommend improvements to operational procedures and security measures
• Manage inventory and maintenance of security equipment, uniforms, and supplies
• Ensure compliance with all relevant security legislation, licensing requirements, and company standard operating procedures
• Budget planning and resource allocation for the detachment operations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in security management or command positions within the security industry
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of 20 or more security personnel
• Strong knowledge of security operations, protocols, and best practices in the Philippines security sector
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients, staff, and stakeholders
• Sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations
• Proficiency in report writing and record-keeping with attention to detail and accuracy
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform duties in various environmental conditions
• Valid security guard licence and relevant security certifications or training credentials
• Knowledge of fire safety, first aid, and emergency response procedures
• Proficiency in basic computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required
• Preferably: Military or law enforcement background, experience in risk assessment, or advanced security management qualifications
