Dev Ops Engineer

Sancro Technology Sdn Bhd is looking for a highly motivated Dev Ops Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise infrastructure platforms, with a strong focus on containerization, system reliability, automation, and open-source technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
• Manage and maintain containerized platforms and applications using Docker and Kubernetes (K8S).
• Perform day-to-day infrastructure operations, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, patch management, and incident resolution.
• Support and maintain open-source platforms and distributed system components such as Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to improve operational efficiency and system consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, security, and high availability.
• Participate in system deployment, upgrade planning, backup and recovery activities, and continuous operational improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support, recommendations, and guidance to internal stakeholders and end users where required.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business and operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, or system operations.
• Proven experience in Kubernetes (K8S) and Docker with practical operations, administration, and maintenance experience in production environments.
• Basic working knowledge of Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and other open-source infrastructure components.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is preferred to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
