Title: Developer, Backend CPQ NM

• Responsibilities

The Developer, Backend CPQ NM is an integral part of the CPQ Team within the Agile Software Delivery Process. The developer contributes across the complete software development lifecycle, including solution design, application development, integration, quality assurance, deployment, and production support. The role requires strong collaboration with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and global development teams to deliver scalable and high-quality digital solutions.

Solution Design & Requirements Engineering

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand, analyse, and refine business and technical requirements.
• Participate in backlog refinement, effort estimation, and sprint planning activities.
• Translate user stories and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define and document application architecture, system integrations, and data flows.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and impacts of proposed changes across integrated systems.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, wireframes, and solution prototypes.
• Ensure compliance with development standards, security, and architectural guidelines.
• Provide technical consultation and recommendations for new features and enhancements.

Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain front-end and back-end application components.
• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies and frameworks.
• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing REST APIs and backend services.
• Implement integrations with enterprise applications, databases, and third-party systems.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Optimise application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop reusable components and promote standardisation across solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and integrations.

General

• Active participation and preparation for agile ceremonies such as Product Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, Refinements, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
• Responsibility for compliance with all AGCO guidelines by all employees and teams, as well as compliance with all control processes and standards

• Qualifications
• Bachelors / Masters degree in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent education
• Several years of professional experience (approx. 5-7 years)
• Strong experience in full stack application development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing backend services using Java, .NET, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar development tools.
• Knowledge of agile methods (e.g. SAFe) is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in global Agile teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
• Ability to balance business needs with technical constraints.
