What they need

About the role:

At Pronto Woven we build innovative digital products and solutions that help organisations transform the way they engage with customers and employees. Our teams combine product thinking, modern technology, and deep industry knowledge to deliver capabilities that make a real impact.

We're looking for a Developer to join our product development team, working on the ongoing development, enhancement, maintenance and evolution of our core products as well as the delivery of new product initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from technical design, coding, testing, documentation and implementation through to continuous improvement and innovation.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Developer, you will work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Designers, and fellow Developers to deliver new features, enhancements, and strategic initiatives across our product suite.

You will contribute to solution design, develop high-quality software, and help shape the future direction of our products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and taking ownership of delivering great outcomes.

 In this role you will:

  • Design, develop and enhance Pronto Woven products and platforms.
  • Contribute to solution design and scalable system architecture using technologies including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Vue and API integrations.
  • Translate business requirements and roadmap initiatives into high-quality technical solutions.
  • Develop, test, maintain and troubleshoot reliable software that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Produce technical documentation, release notes and implementation guidance.
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to peer reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver outcomes in collaboration with product, delivery and development teams.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute ideas that improve product capability, quality, and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, customer value and user experience.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development practices.

What you'll bring:

  • A degree or diploma in Digital, Software Development or a related field.
  • At least two years’ experience working as part of a development team.
  • Experience delivering commercial software or digital projects.
  • Experience with modern web application development.
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, HTML and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Vue.js or a similar front-end framework.
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, Content Management Systems and integrated eCommerce platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
  • An interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning.
  • Experience with ERP software, eCommerce platforms or CMS applications would be highly regarded.
  • Current driver’s licence and own vehicle (for occasional travel).
  • Willingness to undertake interstate or overseas travel.
  • Ability to pass a Police check.

Notes:

  • Pronto Software is currently operating from a temporary location in Mulgrave (due to works in our Forest Hill office). The successful candidate should expect to relocate their office location from Mulgrave to Forest Hill in the future.
  • Pronto Software employees are required to undergo Police Checks.
  • Pronto Software does not use external recruitment.
