Developer Programer

About the role

This is an early-career software-development role suited to someone who has relevant tertiary qualifications and some practical or commercial development experience and is looking to continue building their skills in a hands-on business environment. The role is primarily focused on developing, maintaining, testing and improving MoveIt4u's internal and customer-facing applications. You will work with operational and commercial staff to understand business requirements and develop practical technology solutions for a growing logistics business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance web-based software applications.
• Write, modify and maintain application code.
• Develop new features and functionality.
• Identify and fix software defects.
• Test software changes and application releases.
• Develop and maintain database functionality.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party services.
• Work with APIs, XML data and external platforms.
• Assist with application deployment and production issue resolution.
• Work with internal users to understand business and system requirements.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in software development, computer science, computing or a related field.
• Some practical or commercial software-development experience.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Experience developing modern web applications.
• Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with Git or similar source-control tools.
• Good testing, debugging and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate with non-technical staff and understand business requirements.
