Developer Relations Documentation Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Developer Relations Documentation Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will own the quality and usability of technical documentation that supports developers working with the company’s platform and tools. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and external collaborators to keep content accurate, practical, and easy to follow as the product evolves. The position also focuses on creating structured learning materials and automation that help both human users and coding agents successfully navigate documentation and get value quickly.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $175,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage the accuracy of product documentation, updating content as product changes occur
• Develop automated systems to monitor documentation quality and ensure code samples remain functional
• Ensure documentation serves both developers and coding agents effectively through structured content and checks
• Create comprehensive tutorials, cookbooks, and repositories to help shorten developers’ learning curves
• Facilitate external documentation efforts with partners and curriculum creators
• Design an onboarding experience for new users that supports successful evaluations without additional assistance

Qualifications

• 3+ years in technical writing, developer relations, or an engineering role with extensive writing experience
• Excellent technical communication skills with a portfolio showcasing public-facing documentation or multimedia
• Proficiency in writing code for documentation maintenance, with familiarity in docs-as-code workflows and CI
• Understanding of LLM-based application development, such as agents and orchestration frameworks
• Interest in how coding agents interact with documentation and in building tools to improve that experience
• Self-motivated learner who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend local events
