Working closely with the Mission Integration & Engagement Strategic Lead, the Manager plays a central project-management and implementation role across annual giving campaigns, donor communications and stewardship, signature events, digital fundraising, peer-to-peer and workplace giving, and institutional fundraising activities.

The position helps translate FARE’s mission and impact into meaningful opportunities for donors, partners, and constituents to engage with and support the organization. The Manager works across Development, Marketing and Communications, Digital, Development Operations, and FARE’s mission programs to keep fundraising and engagement initiatives organized, coordinated, and moving forward.

This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role requiring strong writing, project-management, organizational, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and interested in developing broad experience across nonprofit fundraising and mission advancement.

  • Help identify and develop donor, partner, patient, and mission-impact stories that demonstrate the value of philanthropic support.
  • Support production of donor-facing reports, presentations, campaign materials, and stewardship resources.
  • Assist with FARE’s annual Impact Report and other organizational impact communications as assigned.
  • Coordinate constituent and donor inquiries and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Support donor and partner recognition activities across campaigns, events, digital communications, and other organizational initiatives.

Event Management & Engagement

  • Provide hands-on project management and execution support for FARE’s Gala, Regional Events, Annual Summit, donor events, and other organizational events as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain event workplans, timelines, production schedules, checklists, and deliverable tracking.
  • Coordinate event logistics and attendee communications as assigned.
  • Coordinate across Development, Communications, Digital, Development Operations, program teams, and external vendors to support successful event execution.
  • Support sponsor and donor fulfillment, cultivation activities, recognition, and stewardship associated with events.
  • Assist with post-event evaluation, reporting, stewardship, and identification of future engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain event documentation and repeatable processes to support efficient planning and cross-training.

Development Communications & Content

  • Support development of compelling fundraising and donor-facing content that connects FARE’s Research, Advocacy, Education, Community, and other mission priorities to philanthropy.
  • Draft and coordinate Development communications including campaign copy, donor communications, stewardship materials, event content, partnership materials, and other fundraising resources.
  • Work with the Mission Integration & Engagement Strategic Lead to translate program accomplishments and organizational impact into donor and partner engagement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Communications to ensure Development content aligns with enterprise messaging and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate with Digital Strategy on the execution of fundraising and engagement materials across web, email, social, video, and other channels.
  • Help maintain an organized pipeline of Development stories, impact information, donor content, and fundraising communications needs.

Grants & Institutional Giving

  • Support institutional fundraising activities, including grant proposals, applications, funder reports, stewardship, and prospect research.
  • Assist with gathering program information, outcomes, organizational data, supporting documents, and other materials required for proposals and reports.
  • Draft or contribute to grant narratives, letters, reports, funder communications, and other institutional giving materials as assigned.
  • Maintain grant and institutional funding calendars, deadlines, supporting materials, and internal workplans as assigned.
  • Coordinate with program, Finance, Development, and other internal teams to gather information and keep grant deliverables on schedule.

Peer-to-Peer, Workplace & Community Giving

  • Coordinate peer-to-peer fundraising, crowdfunding, workplace giving, social giving, and other community-based fundraising programs.
  • Support participants with fundraising resources, communications, guidance, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate campaign materials and digital needs with the appropriate teams.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen participant engagement and connect community fundraising activities to FARE’s broader mission and Development priorities.
  • Track program activity and support evaluation of participation and fundraising performance.
