What they need

About Us: Planned Parenthood is committed to creating a dynamic work environment that values diversity, equity, inclusion, respect, integrity, customer focus, and innovation. We are committed to creating a welcoming space for all people on our staff, in our health centers, and in our community. We do this by tending to the team, respecting and honoring all people, jumping in, trying and learning, caring for our business, and returning to our mission.

Abortion Care: At PPRM, we all work in abortion care. This role supports abortion care through direct clinical triage, patient education, and follow-up, ensuring timely and empathetic support to those navigating abortion services.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • One year in a development program or similar work background.
  • You have strong customer service and verbal communication skills—you are an active listener and speak clearly.
  • You are an effective writer with the ability to proofread and edit. You are organized and detail oriented.
  • You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and may have experience with relational databases, specifically Raiser’s Edge.
  • You take confidentiality seriously and operate with a high level of discretion.
  • Preference may be given to candidates currently living in Colorado.

What You'll Do:

  • You are wind in the development department’s sails, especially supporting the CPO and VP, adding essential capacity and action that helps move efforts forward.
  • You’re called on to keep the work on track, to make sure others on the team have what they need to be successful, and you ensure the systems are in place to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Support the development department, particularly the CPO and VP, by being the department point of contact, engaging in appropriate phone and email communications with donors, supporters and other PPRM callers, scheduling appointments, coordinating and attending development group meetings and recording notes, maintaining records and distributing materials, arranging workshops, conferences and programs, and assisting with travel arrangements, itineraries, and summaries, monitoring and ordering department supplies, assisting with multi-recipient mailings, and generating and/or editing and proofreading correspondence, proposals, and other documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Serve as departmental liaison to CEO’s office for Board development and giving information. As part of this work, track board activities, support the Board’s thank you calling (organize monthly call lists, distribute to board members, and collect their call reports).
  • Assist the CPO and VP in planning and executing the Board related Development activities.
  • Support the Manager of Special Events and Stewardship with Supporter Hosted Events (“SHE”) by: being the main point of contact for donors and Trustees interested in SHEs, assisting in communications with potential attendees or speakers, delivering or sending appropriate swag, and communicating with additional departments as needed to gather information or materials and staffing (i.e. marketing materials for health centers).
  • Assist the Manager of Special Events and Stewardship with fundraising events including making follow-up calls to invitees, supporting virtual events with technology help, and making stewardship thank you calls to attendees.
  • Assist with donor relations and stewardship by entering contacts, actions, notes, proposals, and other information into the Raiser’s Edge database.
  • Support the team environment with ideas and skills as required by team direction.
  • Because Development is a relationship-based field, staff will be in office together one day a week.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm, ~37.5 hour/week; Hybrid work environment with 1 day a week in office.

  • Ideal candidates are able to work a flexible schedule to include weekdays, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Starting Pay: $20.80/hr. to $24.83/hr.; Compensation is based on candidate's direct related experience

Benefits:
