Description:

The Development Department exists to advance the reach of Christ For The Nations as a global missions organization & Bible school through strategic initiatives & donor management. The department accomplishes this by facilitating collaboration across the organization, maintaining & expanding fundraising best practices and initiatives, and stewarding existing & potential giving partners. The Development Director is responsible for leading the Development Department with strategic direction for the advancement of Christ For The Nations, in a highly collaborative, faith-based work environment. This position is responsible for raising charitable donations through donor cultivation, digital media and web efforts, event sponsorships, and grant income. This position oversees the management of Salesforce and the online giving platform to ensure organizational excellence, data accuracy, and IRS compliance with tax-deductible donor receipts. This position also oversees donor event planning and management, official communications for events, websites, and organization-wide constituents, as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

Desired – minimum of five years in development/advancement

Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills

Demonstrated growth of development program

Experience using CRM systems for prospect and donor management

Experience with budget management and forecasting

Commitment to integrity and CFN Pillars

Ability to effectively lead and manage a team

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Proactive, goal-oriented, and results-driven

Able to pray and encourage people through faith

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the Development Department team.

Coordinate donor cultivation process including donor list segmentation, donor assignment, communication schedule, donor asks, and donor reporting.

Prepare and provide donor reporting including biweekly donation report to executive oversight, semiannual donor reporting, semiannual board report.

Oversee donor proposal preparation including individual asks, grant requests, and broad email campaigns.

Plan, coordinate, and implement all details of capital campaigns in consultation with executive oversight.

Plan and coordinate all donor events including, but not limited, to annual golf tournament, annual gala, CFN giving day, and North Texas giving Tuesday.

Prepare major fundraising programs and individualized giving programs in consultation with executive oversight.
