The role

You'll be joining the pioneering team for EVT Thailand as we open our first two properties in Bangkok, with a strong appetite for further development across Asia. This is a full-time role, working a 5-day week, based in our new office in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok.

The Development Financial Analyst Asia Pacific provides analytical and research support to the Development team across EVT Hotels & Resorts and Connect Hospitality. You'll support feasibility development for new projects, prepare deal and board submission documentation, coordinate project workflow to ensure deadlines are met, and undertake market research to identify new opportunities.

This is a career-launching opportunity suited to someone building a career in property, hospitality, or hotel development, working closely with the Senior Financial Analyst Asia Pacific, Executive Vice President Development Asia and the Chief Development Officer, Asia Pacific.

Key responsibilities

Feasibility and financial analysis support

• Support the Senior Financial Analyst in developing feasibility studies for new development projects, including data gathering, modelling inputs, and analysis.
• Conduct hotel market supply and demand analysis, and benchmark competitive sets using tools such as CoStar, HotStats, and OTA rate shopping.
• Create and maintain hotel P&L projections using USALI standards, and develop discounted cash flow (DCF) models, including NPV, IRR, and payback period.
• Model management contract structures from both owner and operator perspectives, and prepare sensitivity and scenario analysis across occupancy, ADR, and cap rate.

Project coordination

• Maintain the Development team's project database for Asia, and manage and update template documents used across the team.

Market research and insights

• Support Development Marketing with market insight and research for management proposals, and undertake market research to identify new lead opportunities for EVT and EVT Connect Hotels & Resorts.
• Support in drafting market overview analyses and board submissions when the business is considering entering new countries.

Deal and board documentation

• Draft hotel deal approval submissions for new development deals outside the Pacific, ensuring accuracy and consistency with EVT approval requirements.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in property economics, commerce, business, or property valuation. (Essential)
• 1+ years relevant experience in a similar field, with exposure to financial modelling or market analysis. (Essential)
• The right to live and work in Thailand. (Essential)
• Working knowledge of USALI P&L structure and hotel investment terminology (RevPAR, GOP, EBITDA, cap rate).
• Exposure to STR, HotStats, CoStar, or similar hospitality data platforms is a plus.
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a proactive, curious approach to market research and identifying new opportunities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with confidence interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and comfort working with data and templates.
