Development Officer

Job Overview
The Islamic Seminary of America (TISA) seeks a strategic and results-driven Development Officer to coordinate and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The Development Officer will work with TISA leadership and Development team to secure $1.3 million annually to support TISA’s operational budget and institutional growth. The ideal candidate has experience with the fundraising process, donor stewardship, philanthropy, and managing community and fundraising events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategy and execution to raise $1.3M annually through major gifts, campaigns, events, and digital fundraising.
• Coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, budgets, and performance.
• Identify and cultivate major donors and partners, and facilitate major gift asks for leadership.
• Strengthen donor relationships through outreach, impact reporting, recognition, and stewardship.
• Coordinate with Development and Marketing on fundraising communications, reporting, and donor engagement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Fundraising certificates or credentials preferred.
• Track Record: 3-5 years of development experience, preferably within education.
• Domain Knowledge: Preferred familiarity with higher education or nonprofit fundraising.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking abilities, and donor engagement strategies.
• Travel: Ability to travel locally within DFW and nationally for donor meetings, community and fundraising events, and Friday sermons.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
