Development Operations Supervisor

PURPOSE (why does the position exist, WITH what objectives and WITHIN what limits)

To lead the technical implementation of complex features, design and implement scalable cloud components, and champion the adoption of DevSecOps practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher. Relevant cloud certification (e.g., Associate Level).

Relevant Experience:

• 6–8 years of experience, including leading technical features or work streams as a technical lead.

Certifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or Azure Administrator Associate
• (Required minimum)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer –
• Professional (Preferred)
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or CKA (Preferred)
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (Preferred)
• CompTIA Security+ (Preferred)
• CISSP – Associate track (Preferred)
• ITIL 4 Foundation (Preferred)
• Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) (Preferred)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) (Preferred)

Business Understanding:

Understands the financial, security, and compliance impact of architecture. Drives long term operational cost reduction through platform scalability and resilience.

Technical Knowledge

Expert in container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud architecture, with deep knowledge of networking, security (DevSecOps), observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, ELK), and cost optimization (FinOps) practices; able to evaluate and select tooling at the team level.

Behavioral Skills

• Proven ability to mentor and technically guide junior and mid-level staff; high technical ownership;

• supervisory-level autonomy.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Design and implement high-availability and security features for production services.
• Integrate security tools (scanning, secrets management) into the deployment pipeline (DevSecOps).
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventative measures.
• Collaborate with architecture and software development teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native infrastructure.
• Define, maintain, and enforce team-wide engineering standards for CI/CD, branching strategies, and environment provisioning.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure costs and performance through capacity planning, resource rightsizing, and architectural reviews.

Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php70,000.00 per month
