What they need
Write On Fundraising brings equity and compassion to philanthropy by facilitating access and amplifying voices to increase capacity, influence communities, and invest in people and organizations. We accomplish this by serving as a bridge between traditional fundraising practices and new upstream methodologies. Simply put, we provide fresh fundraising solutions for high-impact nonprofits through grant writing, individual giving, training and education, and capital campaign services.
Our innovative team collaborates remotely across the U.S. and is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Communication and impact fuel Write On culture—systems like Google Chat, Harvest, and Asana enable us to produce the best possible outcomes for our clients while providing life balance and value to team members.
Write On Fundraising is currently searching for a people-oriented, naturally curious, and exceptionally strong writer to join our team as a Development Specialist.
This is a unique role for a fundraising professional who enjoys variety. The Development Specialist will work closely with the CEO to support a portfolio of nonprofit clients across grant writing, individual giving, corporate philanthropy, and capital campaign activities. One day may involve drafting a competitive grant proposal; another may include researching a corporate prospect, preparing a donor solicitation strategy, writing campaign materials, or helping move a major gift prospect toward an ask.
The ideal candidate understands that great fundraising is equal parts strategy, relationships, writing, and follow-through. They are comfortable working behind the scenes to make excellent fundraising happen and increasingly take ownership of projects as they become familiar with our clients and approach.
This is a full-time, hybrid position with a standard work week of 40 hours, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. CST. The salary range is $45K - $50K.

The Person We're Looking For
You may be a great fit for this role if you are the person who sees a half-formed idea and immediately starts figuring out how to turn it into something useful.
You can write a grant proposal, but you don't think of yourself only as a grant writer. You're interested in why someone might give, who we should be talking to, how we should approach them, and what needs to happen next.
You're comfortable shifting between big-picture fundraising strategy and detailed execution. You can research a donor in the morning, draft a proposal before lunch, prepare talking points for a solicitation meeting in the afternoon, and make sure every follow-up gets into Asana before you log off.
Most importantly, you're an excellent writer, a strong thinker, and someone other people can trust to get things done.
