We're partnering with an innovative product company in Tampere that is investing heavily in the future of its engineering organisation. They are looking for a Lead Developer who wants to remain hands-on while gradually developing into an Engineering Manager role over time.

This is an opportunity to influence technical direction, mentor developers, shape engineering best practices, and play a key role in scaling a modern cloud-native product platform.

The Role

As Lead Developer, you'll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to build and enhance a modern SaaS platform. You'll lead technical decision-making, support developers across the team, and help establish a high-performing engineering culture.

Over the next 12-24 months, you'll have the opportunity to progress into an Engineering Manager position, taking on greater responsibility for team leadership, coaching, hiring, and strategic

planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable software solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers
• Drive engineering best practices and code quality standards
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams
• Participate in architecture and technology decisions
• Support cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies within AWS
• Contribute to long-term engineering strategy and team growth
• Help build a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Strong experience with React and TypeScript
• Commercial experience developing cloud-based applications in AWS
• Previous experience leading projects or mentoring developers
• Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills
• Based in Finland with eligibility to work within the EU
