Development / Portfolio Analyst – Real Estate

Location: Central London | Permanent | Office-based

The Opportunity

Madison Berkeley is excited to be working exclusively with a leading UK real estate developer and investor is seeking a Development / Portfolio Analyst to join its team.

This is a varied role combining development appraisal, financial modelling and portfolio analysis . You will work closely with senior management, development teams and capital partners, supporting major development projects while providing financial analysis and reporting across the wider portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial analysis and appraisal of major development projects.
• Build, review and maintain development and cash-flow models.
• Model debt and joint-venture equity structures .
• Take financial ownership of individual projects, including underwriting, budgeting and reporting.
• Work with development teams, lenders and equity partners to assess returns, risks and opportunities .
• Produce portfolio-level cash-flow forecasts, budgets and management reporting.
• Support senior management with ad-hoc analysis and strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience or strong exposure to real estate development, investment or financial analysis . Circa 2-4 years experience.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Understanding of real estate finance and debt modelling.
• Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicating financial analysis to a range of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of IRR, NPV, leverage and cash-flow analysis would be advantageous. Analyst Sep 2026 Analyst Sep 2026
