Fairchance for CRM provides CRM implementation, business process automation, software development, and technology solutions. Through our Fairforse ecosystem, we are developing software products and business applications that require secure infrastructure, reliable deployments, source code control, and scalable cloud hosting.

We are looking for a skilled DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer / Manager to establish and manage our software delivery infrastructure, secure company-owned source code, automate deployment processes, and ensure the availability, security, and recoverability of our applications.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will take ownership of the DevOps and infrastructure function, including the migration of existing applications to a company-controlled environment, implementation of CI/CD pipelines, cloud server management, application containerization, security controls, monitoring, and disaster recovery.

The candidate must be capable of auditing an existing application before making infrastructure changes and coordinating with developers, technical leads, and QA personnel to implement a reliable software deployment process.

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should have practical experience with the following technologies and concepts:

• Linux Administration: Ubuntu or another supported Linux distribution, SSH, system services, permissions, logs, and server hardening.
• Git & GitHub: Git workflows, private repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, access management, and protected branches.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions or equivalent pipeline automation tools.
• Containers: Docker, Dockerfiles, Docker Compose, image management, and container troubleshooting.
• Cloud Infrastructure: DigitalOcean or equivalent cloud platforms, virtual servers, networking, firewalls, storage, and resource management.
• Web Infrastructure: Nginx or equivalent reverse proxies, DNS configuration, SSL/TLS, and HTTPS.
• Deployment Automation: Shell scripting and automated build/deployment workflows.
• Database Operations: Database backup, restoration, migration coordination, connectivity, and access control.
• Monitoring & Recovery: Application/server monitoring, logging, alerting, backup validation, and disaster recovery.
• Security: Secrets management, least-privilege access, MFA, SSH key management, credential rotation, and secure deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or an equivalent tool.
• Experience with cloud-managed databases and object storage.
• Familiarity with automated testing and application security scanning.
• Experience with Node.js, React, MERN-stack applications, APIs, background workers, and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with database schema migrations and zero-downtime deployment techniques where feasible.
• Experience managing multiple environments and deploying SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with incident response, disaster recovery planning, and infrastructure cost optimization.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional who can independently audit an existing setup, identify risks, implement improvements, and document the resulting infrastructure.

We value practical implementation skills over theoretical knowledge. The candidate should be able to explain technical decisions, work collaboratively with developers, troubleshoot production issues, and balance security, reliability, and cost.

The candidate must also understand that company ownership of source code, cloud accounts, credentials, and recovery procedures must remain with the company, with individual access granted according to job responsibilities.

Pay: Rs1.00 - Rs2.00 per month
