DevOps & Infrastructure Team Lead

The Opportunity

Yanolja Go Global is looking for a hands-on DevOps & Infrastructure Team Lead to join our Israel R&D organization.

This role combines deep technical ownership with formal people leadership. You will lead the infrastructure team while remaining highly involved in architecture, cloud operations, Kubernetes, automation, reliability, and complex production incidents. You will also own critical production environments, drive technical standards and best practices, and help shape the long-term direction of our cloud and DevOps operations.

What You Will Do

Infrastructure Ownership & Reliability

• Own YGG’s infrastructure environment end-to-end, including architecture, systems, dependencies, and production risks.
• Ensure the stability, continuity, and reliability of business-critical production environments.
• Lead complex infrastructure incidents and act as a senior escalation point through full resolution.
• Strengthen monitoring, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
• Reduce operational dependency through strong documentation, automation, and knowledge sharing.

Cloud & Architecture

• Own and continuously improve the company’s AWS environment.
• Design and operate infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, including AWS and additional providers such as GCP, OCI, or Azure.
• Lead architecture reviews for large-scale, high-traffic, and microservices-based environments.
• Drive modernization, scalability, performance, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Design highly available, scalable, and disaster-resilient infrastructure solutions.

DevOps, Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Drive automation across infrastructure operations and eliminate manual processes.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines across build, testing, security, and deployment processes.
• Establish scalable DevOps processes and technical standards.
• Build and operate production-grade Kubernetes environments.

Security, Monitoring & Performance

• Strengthen cloud and infrastructure security practices.
• Improve monitoring, logging, observability, and APM across distributed systems.
• Identify infrastructure risks, performance bottlenecks, and failure scenarios proactively.
• Drive resilience, security automation, and performance optimization initiatives.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and develop infrastructure engineers.
• Set technical standards and provide hands-on technical guidance.
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Security, Product, and global technology stakeholders.
• Translate infrastructure needs and risks into clear technical and business recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and large-scale production environments.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, cloud security, monitoring, observability, and highly available systems.
• Experience leading complex production incidents and troubleshooting at scale.
• Previous team leadership or people-management experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across global engineering teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with disaster recovery and 24/7 production environments.
• Experience with Chaos Engineering or similar resilience practices.
• DevSecOps and security automation experience.
• FinOps or cloud cost optimization experience.
• Relevant AWS or multi-cloud certifications.

Scope of the Role

This is a hands-on Team Lead role with formal people-management responsibility.

The role combines senior technical ownership with leadership of the infrastructure team, including setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, driving technical standards, and acting as the final escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

The role reports to the CTO / Head of Engineering.
