DevOps and MLOps Engineer

Hyperworks Imaging is a cutting-edge technology company based out of Bengaluru, India since 2016. We are seeking an ambitious junior ML researcher who wants to do more than fine-tune off-the-shelf models. In this role, you will build, train and deploy new LLMs, SLMs, VLMs and AI agents from the ground up — designing architectures, running training experiments, and shipping models into production systems that power the AI assistants of the future.

We are seeking a high-ownership DevOps & MLOps Engineer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to own and manage our hybrid cloud infrastructure across Azure (Primary Preference) and AWS (Secondary). In this role, you will be responsible for multi-environment cloud provisioning (Dev, Staging, Production), automated wildcard subdomain routing, API Gateways, centralized logging stacks, database reliability, cloud cost governance, and text-to-speech (TTS) AI pipelines across multiple internal applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cloud Infrastructure & Automation (IaC)

• Manage secure multi-environment (Dev/Staging/Prod) provisioning on Azure and AWS using Terraform modules.
• Standardize container build workflows and infrastructure state management.

2. Networking, Subdomain Routing & Gateways

• Automate wildcard subdomains, CNAME mappings, and ingress routing.
• Manage API Gateways (Azure APIM, AWS API Gateway, NGINX, Traefik, Kong).
• Handle SSL/TLS lifecycles via Cloudflare, Azure Key Vault, or AWS ACM.

3. AI, Speech & Storage Pipelines

• Maintain low-latency TTS integration pipelines (AWS Polly, Azure Speech Services).
• Optimize AWS S3/Azure Blob Storage lifecycle rules, access controls, and CDN delivery.

4. Database Administration & Performance

• Manage, tune, and scale PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
• Configure PgBouncer, read-replicas, automated snapshots, and point-in-time recovery.

5. Cost Governance & Observability

• Audit/optimize Azure/AWS spending (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, rightsizing).
• Maintain centralized logging (ELK, Loki, CloudWatch) and metrics dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana).

6. Security, CI/CD & MLOps

• Enforce Zero-Trust IAM, secrets management (Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and OAuth/JWT auth.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) for Node.js/Python microservices.
• Deploy ML inference endpoints (MLflow, BentoML, SageMaker, Azure ML).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience Level: 2–3 Years
• Educational Requirement: B.Tech / B.E. / B.S. in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field

Must Have Skills:

• Experience: 2–3 years of proven hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Platform, or Systems Engineering in a fast-paced environment.
• Hybrid Cloud: Direct experience managing workloads on AWS (Primary) and exposure to Azure as well.
• Infrastructure as Code: High proficiency in writing declarative, modular Terraform code.
• Database Management: Practical experience with PostgreSQL and Redis administration, query tuning, and automated backup strategies.
• Networking & Gateways: Hands-on setup of API Gateways, wildcard DNS routing, and SSL certificate management.
• Audio & Cloud Storage: Experience integrating cloud Speech/TTS APIs (AWS Polly / Azure Speech) and handling cloud object storage (S3 / Azure Blob).
• Cost Optimization: Demonstrated track record of auditing and reducing cloud expenditure across AWS or Azure.
• Logging & Monitoring: Setup and management of centralized logging (Loki, ELK, or CloudWatch) and metrics collection (Prometheus + Grafana).
• Containers & CI/CD: Hands-on expertise with Docker and automated pipeline creation via GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Nice-To-Have)

• Certifications: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
• MLOps Frameworks: Prior exposure to model deployment frameworks (MLflow, BentoML, TorchServe, Azure ML, or AWS SageMaker).
• Backend Debugging: Ability to read and debug Node.js or Python backend code.
