DevOps Engineer - Around 1500$

We are looking for some DevOps Engineers to join our DevOps team. Joining us, you will have a chance to build and maintain one of the biggest infrastructure for ecommerce in Vietnam. Our teams deploy new code many times a day, and our production scale is massive. Hundreds of thousands of merchants will see your work within minutes. As a DevOps engineer, you will be involved in ensuring reliability of the whole system.

What you will do:

• Set the standards with teams for building resilient, debuggable systems: set up Devops CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code.

• Respond to automated alerts and take actions.

• Manage ongoing incidents, using your understanding of KiotViet to involve the right teams and resolve as quickly as possible.

• Ensure that we never fail for the same reason twice.

• Knowledge of common web vulnerabilities, audit our infrastructure for security issues and keep it safe.

Qualifications:

Product & Systems Thinking

• Treats the internal platform as a product — developers are the customers

• Strong end-to-end systems thinking: application → platform → infrastructure

• Able to design abstractions and self-service interfaces that hide infrastructure complexity

• Software development background (backend/full-stack) is strongly preferred — this role builds real products, not just scripts

Platform & Infrastructure Experience (3+ years)

• Solid software engineering in Go, Python, or C#/.NET: APIs, CLIs, operators, internal services

• Kubernetes as a platform: Helm, Kustomize, Operators/CRDs, multi-tenancy

• GitOps: ArgoCD or Flux as the deployment backbone

• CI/CD pipeline design as reusable templates: GitLab CI / GitHub Actions

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible; policy-as-code (OPA/Kyverno) is a plus

• Golden paths & scaffolding: project templates, service catalogs; Backstage/Port or similar IDP frameworks is a plus

• Observability by default: baking OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana into platform templates

• Experience with a meaningful subset is enough — nobody has all of it

AI-Native Mindset

• Daily use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) to design, build, and document platform components

• Experience making platforms agent-ready: MCP servers, well-structured docs/context, APIs that both humans and AI agents can consume

• Understands guardrails: AI-generated changes go through review, policy checks, and CI gates

• Bonus: built AI-powered developer tooling (skills, agents, ChatOps, auto-triage)

Nice to Have

• Developer experience (DevEx) measurement: lead time, deployment frequency, onboarding time, adoption metrics

• API Gateway operation (APISIX, Kong)

• Secrets management (Vault), supply chain security (SBOM, image signing)

• Prior DevOps/SRE experience — understanding operations makes better platforms
