DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and scaling our infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our core platform and customer-facing solutions. You will work closely with development, product, and operations teams to implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) and automate critical processes.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, high-availability infrastructure in AWS cloud environments.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment, testing, and release processes.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring system health and performance.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Security: Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and applications, including vulnerability management and access control.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure applications are designed for scalability, reliability, and ease of deployment.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in production and non-production environments.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and systems.
• **Reliability & On-Call:**Possiblyparticipate in a rotational on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for critical production systems, ensuring high uptime and rapid incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL).

Bonus Points

• Experience with real-time data processing or stream processing technologies.
• Familiarity with message queues and asynchronous communication patterns (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• AWS Solution Architect Associate or equivalent certificate holder is a plus.
