DevOps Engineer

Job Purpose

To responsible for automating, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure and applications across the software development lifecycle. This role bridges the gap between development and operations by building pipelines, improving CI/CD processes, monitoring environments, and embedding security best practices throughout the SDLC. The ideal candidate is a strong coder with a deep understanding of system architecture, cloud platforms, and application security principles.

Location

• Head Office, Phnom Penh (02 Post).

Major Areas of Responsibility

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI,.
• Automate testing, deployment, and rollback processes.
• Provision and manage infrastructure using tools like Ansible, or Helm.
• Ensure version-controlled, reproducible, and auditable environments.
• Deploy and manage applications on-prem environments (VMs, Kubernetes).
• Optimize cost, performance, and reliability.
• Implement observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Set up proactive alerts and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) after incidents.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices such as secret management, vulnerability scanning (e.g., Grype, Trivy), and static code analysis (e.g., SonarQube).
• Work with InfoSec to ensure infrastructure complies with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
• Write automation scripts and tools in Python, Bash, or Go to streamline manual tasks.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application delivery and runtime environments.
• Coding using C# to test application security and performance
• Act as a technical advisor to developers on operational and security matters.
• Document infrastructure and deployment processes clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, C#).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows.
• In-depth understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working knowledge of security principles: encryption, IAM, secure coding, and secrets management.
• Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiar with logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
