What they need

A Chilean automotive-services company specializing in vehicle components, replacement parts, maintenance supplies, and digital inventory solutions for automotive workshops, dealerships, and independent vehicle owners across Chile.

Ricambio Siciliano Chile SpA, a leading automotive‑services company providing vehicle components, replacement parts, maintenance supplies, and digital inventory solutions to workshops and dealerships nationwide, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our e‑commerce and inventory platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage scalable, highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to support the company’s digital inventory and ordering systems.
  • Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi and maintain configuration management with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for automated testing, building, and deployment of micro‑services and web applications.
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and security using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stacks, and CloudWatch; respond to alerts and conduct root‑cause analyses.
  • Automate provisioning, scaling, and recovery processes, leveraging container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless services where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth releases, fast rollback, and consistent environments across development, staging, and production.
  • Enforce security best practices, manage secrets (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and ensure compliance with industry standards and Chilean data‑privacy regulations.
  • Document architecture, runbooks, and standard operating procedures; provide knowledge transfer and training to the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3 – 5 years of hands‑on DevOps experience, preferably in e‑commerce, logistics, or automotive‑parts domains.
  • Proficiency with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security groups/VPC design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and version‑control workflows (Git).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
  • Strong communication skills in Spanish and English; capable of explaining technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: CLP 7,000 – CLP 10,000, based on experience and skill set.
