DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, automation, containerization, monitoring, and deployment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB/ALB, and related services.
• Implement and manage Docker containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes/EKS.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell/Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Implement infrastructure and application monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Manage source control using Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Implement security best practices including IAM, encryption, secrets management, network security, and least-privilege access.
• Perform deployment, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production support.

About you

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Good understanding of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling.
• Experience with AWS networking, security, and high-availability concepts.
• Experience with one or more: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline / CodeBuild.
• Strong experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS/ECS.
• Bash/Shell scripting and Python preferred.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, AWS CloudTrail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and willingness to participate in on-call/production support activities when required.
