Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, presentable and friendly DevOps Engineer with deep hands-on experience across Linux, containerisation, networking/security, identity integration, and Azure/M365 environments to join our IT team. You will need a resilient, problem-solving mindset and a friendly customer-focused attitude. You will work closely with the Head of Technology to deliver an excellent service.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, implement, and support secure, scalable infrastructure and deployment workflows
• Administer Linux-based systems and Docker/container environments
• Manage networking and firewalling, including VLANs, firewall rules, and WireGuard VPNs
• Support identity and access integrations using SAML and OIDC
• Manage and support Azure Portal / Azure cloud, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and Intune
• Configure and maintain NGINX reverse proxy/load-balancing setups
• Own monitoring and alerting using Zabbix
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues
• Work with development and IT teams to improve reliability, security, and automation
• Document systems, standards, and operational procedures

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant IT Degree, BSC Computer Science
• 5+ years in DevOps / infrastructure / systems engineering roles
• Strong troubleshooting and production support mindset
• Comfortable owning both cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Security-conscious and able to design practical, secure access patterns
• Able to work independently and excellent communication skills to clearly communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
