Wobbisource is a dynamic software and mobile app development company dedicated to building innovative digital solutions for businesses of all sizes. We work across web platforms, mobile applications, and B2B SaaS products, delivering user-focused, scalable technology. Our team values creativity, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and driven DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and platform reliability. You'll work closely with our global development team to design, automate, and maintain robust systems that power Wobitech's products at scale. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise, a security-first mindset, and a passion for building resilient, observable infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Manage and optimise containerised workloads using Docker (multi-stage builds, Docker Compose) and Kubernetes (Deployments, StatefulSets, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Namespaces).
- Administer and tune Kubernetes networking including Ingress controllers, Ingress rules, TLS termination via cert-manager, and Helm chart management.
- Configure and manage Nginx for reverse proxying, load balancing, and serving production traffic securely.
- Deploy and operate Kafka clusters including topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry for event-driven architectures.
- Architect and maintain AWS infrastructure across EC2, S3, VPC/Subnet/Security Groups, IAM roles and policies, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
- Build and maintain observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki, and CloudWatch Logs to ensure system visibility and proactive alerting.
- Write and maintain Bash and Python scripts for operational automation, scheduled tasks (cron), and system management (systemd, iptables/nftables).
- Harden Linux environments including SSH configuration, firewall rules, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with developers on infrastructure-as-code, deployment strategies, and platform improvements.
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to maintain high availability.
Requirements – Essential
- 4+ years of professional DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience.
- CI/CD & GitHub Actions:
- Workflow triggers, secrets management, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Container & Orchestration:
- Docker multi-stage builds, Docker Compose, and container registry management.
- Kubernetes: Deployment, StatefulSet, ConfigMap, Secret, Namespace, and Ingress controller.
- Helm chart authoring and release management.
- Networking & TLS:
- Nginx reverse proxy, load balancing, and Ingress rules.
- TLS termination and cert-manager certificate lifecycle management.
- Messaging:
- Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry.
- AWS:
- EC2, S3, VPC/Subnet/Security Groups, IAM roles and policies, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
- Observability:
- Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki, and CloudWatch Logs.
- Linux & Scripting:
- Bash scripting, systemd, cron, iptables/nftables, SSH hardening, and Python ops scripts.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security, secrets management, and least-privilege IAM design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Skills
- OVHcloud experience: vRack, floating IP, Anti-DDoS VAC, OVH API, Terraform provider, and Public Cloud Instances.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
- Experience supporting SaaS or high-traffic production platforms.
Join Wobbisource and help us build the infrastructure backbone that powers the next generation of scalable, high-performance digital products - alongside a passionate, global engineering team.
