Location: Bahria Town, Phase 8, Rawalpindi
Timings: 6 PM – 3 AM (Monday - Friday) - NIGHT SHIFT

Comtanix – a fast-growing BPO (not a call center) – is looking for an experienced and highly motivated DevOps Engineer to manage, automate, secure, and optimize our application infrastructure and deployment environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Docker, networking, server management, monitoring, security, and database administration/optimization.

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with developers and other technical teams to ensure applications are deployed reliably, securely, and efficiently across development, staging, and production environments.

Core Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Server Management

• Manage and maintain Linux-based servers and production infrastructure
• Configure and manage application servers, web servers, DNS, SSL certificates, firewalls, and networking.
• Monitor server resources, availability, performance, and system health.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, server, and production-related issues.
• Maintain secure and reliable development, staging, and production environments.

Cloud & Deployment

• Manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Configure and maintain cloud services, compute resources, storage, networking, and security.
• Implement reliable deployment and scaling strategies.
• Manage application hosting and production environments

CI/CD & Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate application builds, testing, deployment, and rollback processes.
• Improve deployment speed, reliability, and consistency.
• Implement automated infrastructure and operational processes where appropriate.

Docker & Containerization

• Build, configure, and manage Docker containers.
• Create and maintain Docker-based development and production environments.
• Optimize container performance, resource utilization, and deployment processes.
• Kubernetes experience is a plus.

Database Management & Optimization

• Manage and maintain MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
• Monitor database health, performance, storage, and resource utilization.
• Identify and resolve slow queries, database bottlenecks, and performance issues.
• Optimize queries, indexes, connections, and database configurations.Implement database backup, restoration, replication, and disaster-recovery strategies.
• Ensure database security, access control, availability, and reliability.
• Support database migration and deployment processes.
• Maintain database environments across development, staging, and production.

Monitoring, Security & Reliability

• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tracking.
• Monitor application, server, database, and infrastructure health.
• Identify and resolve performance and availability issues.Implement security best practices for servers, applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage access controls, credentials, secrets, and permissions securely.
• Maintain regular backups and support disaster-recovery procedures.
• Help minimize downtime and improve overall system reliability.

Collaboration

• Work closely with developers to improve application deployment and infrastructure.
• Support development teams in troubleshooting deployment and production issues.
• Participate in architecture and infrastructure discussions.
• Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, Infrastructure, or System Administration.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Strong knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.Strong understanding of Nginx/Apache, DNS, SSL/TLS, networking, and firewalls.
• Experience managing MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB.Strong database performance optimization and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Bash and/or Python scripting.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Understanding of cloud security and infrastructure best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Kubernetes experience.
• Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Redis experience.
• Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, Route 53, and IAM.
• Experience with automated backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience with high-availability and scalable infrastructure.
• Experience with application security and vulnerability management.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs130,000.00 per month
