DevOps Engineer

AROBS is looking for a Senior AWS Cloud & Database Engineer to join an exciting FinTech project!

Are you passionate about building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms? We're seeking an experienced professional who can take ownership of AWS infrastructure and SQL Server database services, helping drive the reliability and performance of business-critical SaaS applications.

Responsabilities

• Design, implement and operate AWS-hosted database platforms supporting SaaS workloads.
• Own SQL Server database services running on Amazon RDS, including provisioning, upgrades, monitoring and optimization.
• Define database backup, recovery, resilience and disaster recovery strategies.
• Deliver Terraform-based automation for cloud and database infrastructure.
• Support application teams with performance tuning, capacity planning and schema management.
• Define operational standards for database security, availability and lifecycle management.
• Produce operational documentation, standards and runbooks.

Required skills

• Strong AWS infrastructure experience (RDS, EC2, IAM, S3, EKS and networking fundamentals).
• Strong SQL Server DBA expertise, ideally operating SQL Server on Amazon RDS.
• Experience with database performance tuning, backup, recovery and disaster recovery.
• Terraform module authoring and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Experience operating production database environments supporting business-critical applications.
• Knowledge of SaaS and multi-tenant application architectures.
