DevOps Engineer

Avia Solutions Group (ASG) Global Services Philippines is looking for a DevOps Engineer to contribute to the operations of Sensus Aero.

This position is based in the ASG Global Services Philippines office in BGC, Taguig, under a hybrid setup and working on Atlantic Standard Time Zone.

Sensus Aero is a web-based ERP platform built for independent aviation MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) organizations. Designed by aviation experts, it helps MRO companies manage complex workflows — from quoting and work orders to parts logistics, planning, and regulatory compliance. Our product is trusted by MRO clients across multiple geographies and is actively evolving toward a modern, scalable architecture.

Role Overview:
The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in managing and enhancing the organization's observability, monitoring, and infrastructure ecosystem. This role is responsible for building reliable monitoring solutions, improving system visibility, and ensuring operational excellence across both cloud and on-premise environments. Working as part of a small infrastructure team, the DevOps Engineer will collaborate with developers and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly observable platforms that support business-critical applications

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and metrics pipelines using Grafana, Prometheus, and related observability tools.
• Manage and continuously improve log collection, aggregation, monitoring, and analysis processes using Loki or similar platforms.
• Collect, standardize, and analyze metrics across cloud and on-premise environments to improve system visibility and performance.
• Enhance and standardize monitoring, alerting, and observability practices across the technology landscape.
• Partner with development teams to ensure applications and services are observable by design.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues through effective monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation, deployment processes, and platform engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems and services.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Grafana and Prometheus, including dashboard creation, alerting, and basic PromQL development.
• Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools such as Loki, ELK, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of observability concepts, including metrics, logging, tracing, and monitoring best practices.
• Hands-on experience working with Docker and Linux-based environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience working with GitLab CI and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset focused on reliability and continuous improvement.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and coding agents to improve operational efficiency is a plus

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Experience supporting hybrid environments that span both cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD automation platforms.
• Exposure to Oracle database administration (DBA) concepts and environments.
