What they need
Why This Role
Avyre is one of the most experienced DAM and content operations consultancies in the market. For over two decades, we’ve helped global enterprises transform complex content and digital asset ecosystems into scalable operational platforms.
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen the infrastructure, automation, and operational reliability behind these solutions. Within our IT team, you will own infrastructure and deployment processes supporting Avyre’s internal systems and client environments, helping ensure they are secure, stable, and ready for delivery.
You will work closely with Technical Services, developers, QA, project managers, and client technology teams to automate deployments, improve reliability, and resolve complex operational challenges. This role offers the opportunity to shape DevOps practices across enterprise engagements while combining hands-on engineering with technical ownership and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure and Cloud Operations
- Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Manage infrastructure through version-controlled Infrastructure as Code (IaC), reusable configurations, and documented standards.
- Maintain environment consistency, address configuration drift, and manage infrastructure dependencies.
- Monitor and improve capacity, performance, availability, and cloud costs.
CI/CD and Release Management
- Build, maintain, and improve automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Own assigned deployment and environment-promotion processes, including readiness checks, approvals, execution, validation, and rollback procedures.
- Coordinate release schedules and dependencies with developers, QA, project managers, and client stakeholders.
- Follow applicable change controls and pause or escalate deployments when readiness criteria are not met.
- Reduce manual steps and recurring errors through automation.
Reliability and Incident Response
- Implement monitoring, centralized logging, actionable alerts, and service health checks.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, connectivity, and application-environment issues.
- Lead technical incident investigation and resolution within the role’s scope, coordinating with internal teams and external providers.
- Communicate incident impact, mitigation actions, and recovery progress.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and follow corrective actions through completion.
- Maintain and test backup, restoration, and recovery procedures.
- Participate in scheduled on-call coverage and planned maintenance according to defined support arrangements.
Security and IT Governance
- Apply IT standards for least-privilege access, secure configuration, secrets management, and environment separation.
- Coordinate patching, vulnerability remediation, certificate renewals, and access reviews.
- Maintain documentation and evidence supporting internal controls and client requirements.
- Escalate security concerns and exceptions to IT leadership and coordinate remediation.
- Align infrastructure decisions with Avyre’s IT standards and applicable client requirements.
Delivery Collaboration and Technical Ownership
- Translate project requirements into technical activities, estimates, dependencies, and operational readiness criteria.
- Partner with Technical Services to support application architecture, integrations, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate priorities and commitments with IT leadership and project managers.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and risks proactively, with clear impact assessments and recommended actions.
- Clarify responsibilities and escalation paths with client teams, hosting providers, and platform vendors.
- Assess changes for security, reliability, cost, and delivery impact; escalate decisions beyond assigned authority.
Documentation and Team Development
- Maintain runbooks, deployment procedures, architecture documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure critical processes have trained backup personnel and effective handoffs before planned absences.
- Validate that procedures can be reliably executed by others.
- Mentor colleagues, review technical work, and improve shared DevOps practices.
Requirements
Required
- Five or more years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, including independent responsibility for production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with Docker and container deployment.
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, TLS certificates, load balancing, firewalls, and identity and access management.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production incidents and execute controlled deployments.
- Strong ownership, sound technical judgment, and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across internal initiatives and client engagements.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, including professional English proficiency for client meetings and technical discussions.
- Ability to participate in agreed on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows.
Preferred
- Experience supporting DAM, PIM, CMS, or other enterprise content platforms.
- Experience in consulting, managed services, or environments serving multiple clients.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms.
- Experience supporting APIs, integration services, SSO, and identity providers.
- Experience designing and testing disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and establishing reusable infrastructure and deployment standards.
Optional
- Familiarity with Censhare, Adobe Experience Manager, Aprimo, or Orange Logic.
- Experience with Azure or Google Cloud in addition to AWS.
- Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or infrastructure automation certifications.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and IT service management tools.
- Spanish proficiency.
