DevOps Engineer

Role Description The DevOps Engineer role at Solutyics is a full-time, on-site position based in Sharjah. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure to support data and AI solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing CI pipelines, automating deployment processes, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability and reliability of production environments. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with software development and data engineering teams to streamline workflows, improve release cycles, and enhance system security and compliance. The role also involves troubleshooting infrastructure and application issues, optimizing resource usage, and contributing to continuous improvement of operational practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks.
• Candidates should possess solid Software Development capabilities, with proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Bash, Go) for automation and tooling.
• Candidates should possess experience with Continuous Integration practices, including configuring and maintaining CI pipelines using platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Candidates should possess System Administration expertise, including managing servers, networking, security configurations, and performance monitoring.
• Candidates should possess advanced Linux skills, including shell scripting, system troubleshooting, and optimization in production environments.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• A relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams are essential.
