About This Role We are seeking a capacity management specialist who will ensure a cost-conscious and optimised balance between business demand and data centre resources across Vodafone Group-managed local markets and internal IS departments. This role plays a key part in enabling efficient infrastructure utilisation, data-driven capacity planning, and continuous improvement of capacity management processes within complex, multinational environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Download, test, and implement tool upgrades and patches using vendor-provided scripts
  • Produce and distribute capacity dashboards and reports covering CPU, memory, network, and storage utilisation trends
  • Develop workload-related capacity plans by analysing system metrics, application workloads, and business KPIs to identify correlations, trends, and predictive models
  • Provide capacity-related consultancy in collaboration with local markets, including assessments for major projects and shared estate environments
  • Support incident analysis by contributing technical insight, identifying root causes, and collaborating with relevant technical teams on remediation actions
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of capacity management processes, tools, and operational models in alignment with evolving data centre standards and architecture strategies

Who You Are

  • An experienced professional with a strong understanding of enterprise IT technologies, data centre standards, and capacity planning principles
  • Confident working with Windows, Unix/Linux, VMware, and additional virtualisation platforms such as Solaris or AIX
  • Skilled in BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization, BMC Discovery, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Knowledgeable in database technologies, with strong expertise in Oracle and exposure to other platforms such as MS SQL or Sybase
  • Experienced in cloud solutions, containers (including Kubernetes), non-relational databases such as InfluxDB, and modern storage and converged infrastructure technologies
  • Comfortable with statistics, data modelling, BI, SQL/PLSQL, Power BI reporting, and presenting complex insights clearly
  • A collaborative communicator with strong written and spoken English, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiar with ITIL practices, security and SOX regulations, and experienced in multicultural, matrix organisations
