DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Onboarding

• Manage DNS and CNAME requests for new customer implementations.

• Coordinate and configure externally facing SSL/TLS certificates using DigiCert.

• Configure webchat environments using Terraform-based automation.

• Ensure onboarding activities are completed consistently, securely, and with minimal manual intervention.

• AWS Development and Platform Support

• Create and maintain API Gateway integrations, including integrations for Robin on Teams.

• Manage secrets securely using AWS Secrets Manager.

• Configure and maintain AWS Web Application Firewall policies.

• Perform Application Load Balancer updates and routing changes.

• Support CloudFront and Amazon S3 configurations for web and static content delivery.

• Assist with AWS Lambda and ECS-based application deployments.

• CI/CD and Infrastructure Automation

• Build and maintain GitLab CI pipelines for application deployment.

• Use Docker for containerized application packaging and runtime consistency.

• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for repeatable infrastructure provisioning.

• Promote automation-first practices to reduce operational effort and deployment risk.

• Azure AI and Knowledge Integration

• Support SharePoint-to-vector-store synchronization workflows.

• Assist in maintaining document-grounded AI assistant capabilities.

• Collaborate on improvements to AI-based search, retrieval, and knowledge grounding processes.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and backend API development.
• Working knowledge of AWS services including ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, WAF, CloudFront, S3, and Secrets Manager.
• Good understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and externally facing application configuration.
• Experience with GitLab CI, Docker, and Terraform-based infrastructure automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot cloud, networking, deployment, and customer onboarding issues.
• Good documentation, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Azure AI services, vector stores, retrieval-augmented generation, or document search workflows.
• Experience supporting chatbot, webchat, or conversational AI platforms.
• Understanding of security best practices for secrets, certificates, and externally exposed services.
• Familiarity with monitoring, incident troubleshooting, and production support processes.

Front-End Development (Nice to Have)

• Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, browser-side JavaScript, and responsive web user interface concepts.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, or make minor updates to webchat and agent user interfaces. Deep front-end specialization is not required.

Suggested Experience

Recommended experience: 3–6 years in cloud development, platform engineering, DevOps, customer onboarding, or related application support roles. Candidates should be comfortable working across AWS, automation pipelines, networking, and cross-functional implementation activities.

Preferred Certification

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• Terraform Associate certification is a plus
• Azure AI or Azure Fundamentals certification is a plus
