About the Role

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to help manage, maintain, and improve our infrastructure across cloud environments and on-premises data centers. You will work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure our systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and well-maintained.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in system administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, and automation who wants to develop their skills across modern infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, operate, and maintain cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and related services.
• On-Premises Data Center Management: Maintain physical and virtual servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure. Assist with hardware provisioning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• System Administration: Manage Linux-based systems, perform routine maintenance, apply security patches, and troubleshoot operating system and infrastructure issues.
• Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain automation using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, or Python to reduce manual operations and improve consistency.
• Containers and Orchestration: Support Docker-based workloads and Kubernetes environments, including deployments, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Monitoring and Observability: Maintain monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting to identify and resolve infrastructure issues proactively.
• Networking: Troubleshoot connectivity, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments.
• Security and Compliance: Apply security best practices, manage access controls, support vulnerability remediation, and maintain secure infrastructure configurations.
• Incident Management: Investigate infrastructure incidents, participate in root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Support backup operations, recovery testing, infrastructure resilience, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and infrastructure diagrams while collaborating with developers and other infrastructure engineers.

Required Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, system administration, or a similar role.
• Willingness to work in a rotational shift schedule, including night shifts, to support infrastructure operations and ensure service availability.
• Good knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of on-premises infrastructure, including physical servers, virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with scripting using Bash or Python.
• Basic experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, backup, patch management, and security practices.
• A proactive approach to troubleshooting, automation, documentation, and continuous learning.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Proxmox.
• Knowledge of data center networking, VLANs, switching and IP addressing.
• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity, including site-to-site VPNs etc.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar observability platforms.
• Knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
